Buckrun raffle

Just wondering if anyone knows or has got drawn buckrun raffle,is it worth the chance
25 bucks a tix seems a little step what could one expect if I were to get drawn

I think they give you one day to hunt and they pick the area. That is my understanding anyhow. Also if I remember correctly they don't do the drawing until after modern season is over. I think someone on here shot a 180ish buck on one of the hunts.

From what ive heard its a one day deal, get to hunt a specific area and shoot a specific deer type deal.  Theres some huge bucks on the property but those are for higher paying clients I assume. There is some other issues involved with the ranch that would keep me from applying for that hunt, but I wont go into that.  Dont need your thread getting locked!  For me its not my cup of tea but for a nice eastern washington muley it is a quality chance at a nice buck.

You get one day to hunt, Derek will put you in a certain area and you hunt by yourself or you can take somebody with you, I have drawn a tag 2 times😉 I will say he probably won't put you in an area where the big bucks normally hang out but like you know deer can travel a lot in one evening. They draw Tuesday before the opener and will notify you by Wednesday, he starts scheduling hunts after the general season is over.

Know a guy who's killed a couple good bucks out there, if memory serves me right he was paying around $1500 for a "management" buck. Heavy 27" 3x4 with eye guards, mid 170's type deer. This was about 8 years ago now that I think of it so I could be remembering wrong... haven't seen many pics of good bucks coming out of there lately that I recall

I don't think the odds are that good of drawing, its pretty much a crapshoot once you draw, I think most things have been covered above, you'll get a buck but odds are it wont be one of the monsters out there, unless that buck decides to cover some country during the night.

My cousin did that hunt years back, the raffle was riggid partially is all im gonna say

If you have money to burn and buy a lot of tickets, you have a decent chance of drawing. If you buy a few tickets and get lucky enough to draw, you will have a good time and shoot a decent buck.  Pretty much what others have said, there are some big bucks there, but you will not get put in an area that has them, unless they travel or you pay big money.

If you buy 5 tickets you get one free. So for $125 you have a really good chance of getting a really good deer. There were only something like 68 applicants last year. Not sure how many tickets. Lots of misconceptions about buckrun. I will just say they are good people. Also he puts hunters in locations based on having a successful hunt. He doesn't steer anyone away from big deer. Hunter success is based on their own effort.

One other thing the raffle is not rigged. It is drawn at the wdfw office. As said before the drawing is the week before modern season. If anyone has questions pm me. I don't know everything about the program but am familiar with it.
