You can send it my way, I promise to put a few hundred rounds through it for a thorough examination.

Maybe the little CZ should just become the official HuntWa rifle. We'll just pass it around all hunting season to see how many critters it can rack up in one year.

I've run AR Grendel's from 16" inch to 26" inch. Really like 18" inch SPR contours for a all around well handling accurate barrel. There wasn't enough speed increase from 18" to 26" on the AR to justify the weight of a AR with a 26" barrel.

26" full bull contour. Heavy!

That looks like a gun I own now...?

At the end of my first 100 days I'll ban all 30-06, 308, 7 Rem mags, and 223s.

The country will end up looking like Denmark, but with a lot more guns and midget strippers.

Just curious, why the 20" rule for the Grendel?

I think I was thinking this as max length.  Thanks for all the great input everyone.

Howa 1500 in a 6.5 Grendel. Thoughts Hammer and Sharkbait ?

They'll get back to you in about 82 more days.....

I haven't held one yet but every other Howa I've held was pretty nice. I'm partial to the little CZ 527 just because it's a control feed action.

Any thoughts on uppers from Zeroed In Armory? Could get this with BCG for $385 in Grendel.  Also, any negatives to either keymod handguard or the quad rail?

yes, quad rail is fat and uncomfortable and becoming obsolete. Keymod (or M-lok) lets you just add things where you need them, for a slimmer handguard everywhere else.

I've got a 24" BHW barrel. My gun is a heavy one and it shoots tight groups. I also use the Amax 123gr. The SSTs don't perform as well for me and I don't know why.  :dunno:

How does that 18" Brownells barrel shoot with factory ammo? Let's say the Hornady 123gr A-Max or SST?

I used the cheap 18" AR Stoner Barrel (made by Satern) and it shoots very well with that ammo.
