Actually if you don't realize it, you did call well, because you called in that yote. he just smelled ya or happened to see you before you saw him. it was no accident he was there, so good job.
i called one to within 10 feet once, got it on video, had to choose between running the cam or grabbin the gun, saw i rolled film. after he passed me, i soon heard him nearby barking, warning all the other dogs in the area, also got that on the audio, it was a good lesson as i was able to immediatly relate the two events. his barking was so persistant, that i was able to stalk and kill him. since then i have had this happen to me many many times.
i would highly recommend you buy one of randy andersons dvd's, "calling all coyotes" or "the truth III", ya will learn alot. mainly by watching the yotes body language as they come in. good luck.

you know i guess your right, i did call him in. i feel a little better about that. i do have a lot to learn and im eager to learn it. hunting is my passion and getting into this varmit hunting has been a lot of fun
