2nd best time of the year for sure.

Let's just hope that the wilderness areas don't burn down with all this heat we're supposed to get all summer. 2015 was no bueno, and they're calling for a summer just as hot.

snow is finally starting to melt enough to start getting into the good stuff. A few weeks ago I noticed that snow was still hanging around 4,200 feet, hoping that it's pretty much gone by now.

FWIW - my friends and I were in the Enchantments last weekend.  Camped in between the Snow lakes and there was no snow at all around that elevation (~5400').  Up in the Core Zone there was plenty of snow (~6500-7000') but it was mostly in patches and easily traversable.

Makes me itch to do some proper scouting.

What are your favorite wildernesses to hunt in? I have always wanted to do a hunt like that.
