Please take a moment to answer this question and share this link with as many sportsmen and women as you know.

The focus of the WDFW is not creating more quality hunting and fishing opportunites for the sportsmen and women of Washington State, but instead is spending money and effort to pacify special interest groups.

I put no and will qualify that. I've been very pleased with any communications I've had with LE, Biologists, and Hunter Education. I'm extremely dissatisfied with response from Administration regarding predator and other game issues.

I would vote sometimes.  I think they do some things extremely well and others not so well.

:yeah:

It seems to me they listen as part of their job.  They do so with a smile with NO intention of actually listening or trying to find middle ground, improve or even take into consideration what you say.  Granted, I realize not all ideas are good ones and it would be taxing to have to explain over and over (educate) the community.

This really started falling apart when they stopped leading by way of science and went the way of emotion/votes.   :twocents:
We must reject the idea that every time a law's broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.

being a Hunt-WA poll will this get fed back to WDFW?

There appears to be a slight trend in the voting...

WDFW doesn't have an official capacity on this site, but some might see it.  If I were WDFW...I'd have my public media people on this site being that perhaps 10% of the entirety of Washington's hunting population are on here and it's growing everyday.

If WDFW wanted to really listen, they'd be here listening to 22018 members (and tons of guests) of the Hunting Washington forum

I voted no but I agree with this statement. We need less emphasis on predator introduction and more on building bigger and healthier ungulate numbers. We could have it so much better here.  :bash:

I also think the IT/webmaster team listened and responded when they rolled out the new licensing system - far better than it was.

How about we do away with WDFW getting any general funds.  I bet they listen to those that pay the bill then.  Commercial fishers, birders, etc. can pay their fair share if they want to continue receiving services.

Agree 100% with this.  Every interaction I have had at the "hands on" level have been top notch, I think there are some really good people trying to do good things within the confines of a horribly screwed up state run department.

But then again isn't that the case with most if not all state run departments here in Washington State?
