Picture 001 and 002 are the same deer - both mule deer.

I've heard a few stories of a small pocket of whitetail on bald mountain years ago. Maybe some of those genes got mixed in with the recovering muley population.  What happened to the deer population in Nile/Bumping/Naches?  I'm seeing deer but nothing like I'd expect with the regulations and the habitat.

that heard has never fully recovered from the winter kills of the 90's. Combine that with poaching, native pressure, predators, human encroachment and mismanagement.

I'd say pic 1 is a WT, 2 & 3 are mule. The antlers tell the tale. Harder to tell at this point, but number 1 clearly, to me anyways, has the points originating off the main beam. 2 and 3 are the BT/Muley w points forking.

When there are only 3 don't they all originate from a main beam? I've seen quite a few three point Muleys over there years that had very whitetailesg antlers

that is a whitetail. I spotted a whitetail doe on the west bound off ramp of I90 exit #25 last fall. I emailed the game boys with no response.

Pic 1 & 2 appear to be the same and probably a whitey, based off the eyeguards. 3 appears to be muley.

I was hoping for more pics, but since my cameras are in the Norse Peak Fire no-go zone I may have to wait until late season or spring.  At least he lives another year to grow some more.

#1's Antlers sure looks like the Whitetails we shoot every fall in 111.  Light colored coat, but no white on the belly and inner legs...  I'm saying Whuley?

Where's BigTex for a ruling on these deer?
