Skagit farmers help
« on: September 19, 2017, 05:59:32 PM »
Hello my name is Brandon Davis and recently I heard about farmers that have harvest tags for elk that they can hand out. I am not asking for myself, I am asking for my father in law, this guy has hunting elk for 16 years now and never got to harvest an elk. He has had multiple occasions but always let the other person take the kill shot. He truly deserves to finally enjoy the feeling that comes with walking up on an elk that you shot. If what I heard about these tags are true and you do know someone who can offer one I would be very grateful and willing to do what I can to help my father in law finally bag an elk. Thank you

They are damage tags and it is a master hunter lottery system. A couple guys from Silver Arrow Bowmen have done it. Have him check into the master hunter program and they will point you in the right direction.

Btw it's more of a damage hunt/ harassment than what most people think of.
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Some of the land owners apply for depredation tags for their property.  Those are usual handed out to close friends, family or for a nominal donation.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!
