Racoons killing chickens

Would anyone have any recommendations on which pellet gun to purchase for when I catch these raccoons killing my chickens again?  .22 even with subsonic is a little loud and I am fairly sure I am within a no shooting area, arrows pass through and get lost.

Sweet and thank you!!  I am all over this.  Question - States NOT FOR SEMI AUTO.  So I will just single shot and hand cycle the Ruger 10/22 is that correct thinking?

I think this calls for a new .22 rifle. Lever or Bolt 

I'm thinking the neighborhood Turkey's should be nervous as well.

I did some research and it looks like they have a tendency to stick in rifle barrels.  Be careful if you go that route.

I'll take you up on that as I do have a cage trap.  Would November work or December?  What's your advice on time to trap and I can be very patient.  Thanks Machias.

CB shorts are quiet as well.  However, be careful with any reduced load .22, go for chest shots as it is highly likely that you will not penetrate a skull with them.  My wife flattened four slugs on one's skull in a trap once, and those were full power rounds.

Don't forget blunts for your arrow.  A solid hit and it will not go far.

Everyday for almost two weeks the feeder would be tipped over and empty inthe morning.  I searched the yard and found a spot that looked suspicious.  Made a snare. In the morning I had a coon. Yes I know you can’t do that.  It was released as I had to go to work.  Next morning I caught it in a live trap next to the coop
With tuna as bait.

The only good raccoon is a dead one, or two, or three... from last night.  I did put two bb's through the rear curtain of my boat though.     I would have had more, but I thought the three sets of eyes in a tree might have been owls as I had been hearing one around the house.
