This thread is pointless. Putting pointless accusations out there for the anti hunters to see. No facts or anything to uphold these accusations.
Sorry you lost your Elk.  Better luck next time.

Found 2 dead spikes 2 seasons ago in the Taneum both shot during rifle season I just chalk it up to lazy hunters. We chatted with 1 guy that had shot one of them they didn’t even go after then one. Just mind boggling to me. Lazy ass slobs!

Wow, people sure are getting nasty to one another on here. The OP did say "possible" poaching. Why not present alternatives without the personal attacks and keyboard warrior-style BS? We're all hunters. We all care about two wasted elk. Maybe just assume good intent of each other until proven otherwise.

OP, did you report the find?

You can even text in the details and report it, photos, gps coordinates and whatever else you have.

I don't understand the resistance to reporting to WDFW on this forum. I realize that (hopefully) its just a vocal few who have had bad experiences with, but ill report anything I deem even remotely suspicious every time. Its not always poaching, but the reason the clowns in OR got away with it for so long wasnt because they were mastermind criminals. I value my hunting rights and the lives of these animals too much to even bother with second guessing my decisions to call.

I am all for people calling in suspicious stuff.  Let the WDFW guys figure out if it pencils out or not.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

:yeah:

x100.

P.S. I think I know that bull; I watched him all winter at Oak Creek feeding station.  No matter what happened, it's a real shame to know he rotted...   :(

Morn'un,

Follow-up: Received a phone call from the Fish & Games folks yesterday thanking me for the Report I posted. Nice Fellow ... told me they don't get many reports from that area.

I was pleasantly surprised as I didn't expect to hear from them.

Lee

If it wasn’t for Oregon state police doing their jobs. That ring would still be out doing what they did. WDFW shouldn’t get a lick of credit for that bust. That was all Oregon that busted that case wide open.

Truth!  :yeah:

i found a doe on private property this August  that had been shot twice in the shoulder, no exit wound and less than 24 hours old. called it in and was told I would receive a call from a warden in the area so I could take them to it. never got a call...

So did they go out and investigate or did they just call to thank you  :dunno:
