« on: October 15, 2007, 06:37:52 PM »
here you go guys. here is my deer this year shot him right before sunset on the 14th. sorry the date of the camera was wrong. Big necked WT. ill have to get some measurements. Huge deer we guess he weighs around 250 plus.

Where is michelle when i need her. How much for an estimate on a nice head mount?

Nice Whitey, I like those g2's.  How about a rough score I'm thinking he'll score around 138-142. P.S cleaning a gut shot deer is never fun. :puke: :puke: :puke:

yeah cleaning him out was easy. not bad at all. it was a down hill quartering shot it entered perfectly on the other side. The hole you see is the exit hole, sort of one of those all-in-one shots. didnt waste a drop of meat. Dropped him where he stood. VERY NICE  :EAT: VERY!!!!!
Not sure how big he is, Ill have to measure him tommarrow.....................AJ

Great buck and congrats.  Love those long points.  Looks like family was along as well. Double thumbs.

I'm guessing about 135.

Cool and thanks guys. I am really excited. Is 133-135ish good? I really have never scored a buck and this by far is my biggest. i usually get a 2 year 3 point or a 3 year 4 point. This guy by what i could figure by looking at his teeth and his gland markers about 6 years give or take a year.

Great buck and congrats.  Love those long points.  Looks like family was along as well. Double thumbs.

I'm guessing about 135.
Oh and my family is always along. My little bro shot his first deer this year as well. A nice three year doe. Big and fat. Dad missed out this year. Hell be going to idaho. ( big out of stater)

Thanks cohoho and shadowcat! oh and boneaddict

That is a realy nice whitetail.  Congrats on bagging a realy nice buck.  Hard to tell from the pics on what he may score.  I charge $450 for a head mount!

Yeah a 130ish buck is good, Actually i'm looking at my Record Book for Wa Big Game & for Typical Eastern Whitetail Deer-Rifle you need to score 130 net to qualify so I'd say you've got a chance. I got a Whitey a couple yrs ago that came up 7/8" short.  >:( :bs: :bash:

So i finally got it measured by two people. One score was 148.? and the other one was 151.? and that was after the deductions. His G2s are 13.5 inches long. He is gorgeous.

so back here in Port Angeles they have a contest to see who can shot the biggest, smallest buck and doe . well i came in on sat. to the outdoor store and showed a picture to the guy at the front and he said well im not sure if you'll win but how are we going to measure it if we dont have it. I told him it was in my truck and that i could get it so we could measure it. When i returned as he stared and began measuring it he told me that i was up against a nice 5x5 mulie and that it might be close........

NOPE.......... Im the winner now :chuckle:. My big 4x4 WT was bigger than the Mulie, by a bit..... :IBCOOL:
If i win the contest for biggest buck, then i get a free shoulder up mount on my buck.....

So cross your fingers guys. im hoping i win that contest....but if not michelle will be doing my head mount.... well have to see though. I have to wait untill late season to end.

I hope you win!  That would be cool!  I'm surprised he hit those numbers, but those are some gawdaweful monster tines.  How long do you have to wait, or do you find out if the contest is over or not.

Good luck on the contest. They have the same contest at one of the local stores here, they pay for the mount and you get it when the put the winner for the next year.

Yeah he looks bigger in real life. My buddy who one the contest a couple years ago said that seeing the rack in real life did it alot more justice. He liked the realy long tines to. It would have scored higher but i had about 6 inches in deductions. still cool though.

Well i dont get to find out untill after late season....so around late November to early December, and then i dont get the mount untill next year. But thats cool to. i was telling michelle it is pretty cool to say that your mount is at the local outdoor store and that its being shown to everyone. I think its awesome................
