A good friend of mine was running out of time yesterday as that was his last day that he would be able to hunt the late buck season in the Blues. His efforts during the previous week didn't turn up much, as activity was slow and buck sightings were on the thin side. Fortunately he was able to tag out yesterday on a buck that was on my property. Pretty nice younger buck considering he was going to take anything legal the last day. Glad he was able to get it done.
As a sidenote I had not seen this buck previously on any cam photos or in the field. However he certainly displays the longer eyeguards that seem to be common on the bucks I do see on cam photos on the ranch itself.
