Thoughts or expierences, good or bad with this model?

Considering wading into the Black Friday mess at Cabela's and using one of my Savage rebate cards for one of these.

If you do everything right it will call coyotes.
After the first shot the rest are just noise.

Thanks, but I was hoping for is more along the lines of the Patriot unit specifically.

I know Foxpro has a pretty solid reputation as a good product, but I have read things like mid-level unit, lower end, etc., and just wondering where this one falls into?

And other things like, are there any specific issues known to be associated with the Patriot to be aware of, for example, remote problems, function issues, range issues, etc.

Was hoping someone had more insight along those lines before I attempted to wade into the Black Friday crowds...

It's not their bottom end caller.  They don't put out a product that will wreck their reputation and they have great CS.  A caller with 100 free sounds and great CS from a reputable company, it would be very hard to go wrong with it for less than $100.  If money were tight and I needed a caller I wouldn't hesitate( I own six callers, 4 Minaskas and 2 FP's).  My BinL has an old bottom of the line FP Spitfire that he still uses doing control work on dairy farms back in WI.

From FP's description it sounds like the real deal.

not readily but it will mount an FP decoy that is just about the same.  you would have to rewire the mojo critter to plug into the aux port of the caller.  for me it works just as well to just turn it on when I place the caller and leave it run until I pick up the caller at the end of the stand.

This call is very similar to the first fox Pro I used 20 years ago only with much better techno . i called in and killed hundreds of Coyotes with that old model, As AWS said if you set up right the caller will do the job .

I just got home with one too, was at the Lacey store, they still had quite a few.

Was it taking so long because of the number of people?  I was the only one in line and they had open registers with no one waiting the whole time I was there.

It wasn't really any busier than any other day, but the cashier said it was crazy when they first opened.

Honestly, I didn't see all that many great deals there.  There were some good ones, but not nearly what I expected.

But to be fair, this was my first Black Friday shopping event, so I may have had higher expectations than I should have.

The check out line inside the store was all the way around the store but I got a $50 card when I walked in plus I got some nice deals on trail cams too
So $500 and a couple hours later  :dunno:

Cool!

I was playing with mine a little bit ago and I let loose with a Lone Coyote locator and my bride calls down from the upstairs office, "I hope that is you!?"

So, of course I had to follow right behind with Jack Rabbit distress, to which I heard, "Well..that sounds distrubing!!"

I like it, think it will work out fine for what I want, good luck, hope you enjoy yours as well!

Good luck, looking forward to a report of extraordinary success!!

I still have a little work to get my Rem 788 ready to go, got the last part in last week, just haven't been able to finish it so I can get it sighted and get going.
