Input on Browning x-bolt hells canyon

I'm going to buy a 300 Win Mag and looking at the xbolt. Anyone have experience with this rifle you would share

I just bought one last Saturday in 300 Win Mag.  I obviously cannot help you with my experience but can exchange pm’s with load development.  I have the Long Range version.

Just ordered DNZ rings and some ELD-X bullets for it.  PM if you want to work together on this if you buy one.

Awesome rifle, picked mine up about a year ago, it's the western hunter one in the 300 Win Mag, shoots as good as I can, if its off a bit its me not the rifle, 3 shoots at 100yards off a backpack most the time 2 are touching and the other one is about 1/4"-1/2" off.

I run 180 grain accubonds through mine, and it was shooting 3" groups at 400 yards this summer.  Browning makes a solid rifle.

My brother has an X bolt composit stalker in 300 win and I have a Hells Canyon Speed in 6.5 creedmoor. They are both tac drivers and worth every penny. You won't be disappointed.

Good shooter, throw a good 4-24 with turrets on it and you should be rockin.

I just picked mine up a few weeks ago.  It wasn’t easy finding one in 7mm mag...  I mounted the scope last weekend and plan to get out shooting sometime soon.  I didn’t care much for the regular stock, but I really liked the feel/fit of the McMillan.

I picked up a X-Bolt Western Hunter awhile back in 28 Nosler. The only difference between the two is the Western Hunter is finished in black instead of burnt bronze Cerakote and the Western Hunter is non fluted.

Seeing it is a fairly light for a super magnum. All I care about in a hunting rifle is my first three shots. The rifle shot super well with the factory Nosler 160gr Accubond's .

I would use 180 accubonds for everyday but try some 215 bergers for 1000 yard fun.

I had a hells canyon in 300wsm and it shot 3/4" at 100yards all day.. my go to gun is a 26 nosler western hunter.. that  shoots  about the same maybe a bit better if I do my part.. my farivote guns..

Love the 28 Nosler, probably what I should get and use it for everything. Not too big for Deer and big enough for Elk, great caliber

With the muzzle brake recoil is between a sporter weight .308 Win and a 30-06. Hard to beat the ballistics of the heavier 7mm bullets at 28 Nosler speeds.

Once you have the brass, it can be handloaded for about .86 cents a round with premium bullets.

That being said. The 300 Win Mag is my all time favorite cartridge.
