What broadheads you running?

Just getting into bow hunting. Curious to know what broadheads you guys are running and what you have had the best luck with for deer and elk? Im thinking fixed blade is the way to go. Outside of that any feedback on whats worked well for you would be great.

I would go fixed blade for sure. I shoot shuttle t's because they are super strong and fly well but the slick tricks are a lot sharper and not such a steep blade angle. I wouldn't want to be hit with one of those.

I couldn't ever get any of Rad's dumb quizzes, so I'm running slick tricks
When I wear these out I'll break down and buy some Rad design

I am running G5 montec. Simple and effective. Nice clean complete pass thru on my bear this year. One piece so no noise/rattle or replacing blades required. Easy to sharpen with a basic flat sharpening stone.

I've never shot a Rage in my life, but I know some guys who are going away from them. I've used Satalites, Wasp, Monotecs, etc.... Rad's are tempting but I still have some G-5's left. Being how I haven't nocked an arrow in two years, I think I'll be set for a bit

Rage Hypodermics at the moment. for deer (and the cougar i shot from my blind). I also have a RAD LPS Triple Sec head that has been run through one deer already. I very much like the attention to detail and the SHARPNESS of the RAD head but wanted a larger cutting diameter, thus the Rages. If I could get a RAD head with a solid blade and a bit larger cutting diameter, I'd be using them.

G5s Montecs with the compound which I haven't shot forever, and Magnus Stingers with the longbow.

I haven't bow hunted for years myself but my grandson has had some impressive results from Rad on deer and elk. He shot a bull elk in the front of the chest that would have made a pass though I think if the broadhead had not hit a hind leg bone in the ham. The Rad broadhead chipped/cut a hole at least ¾ inch deep in the big hard bone after passing through the length of the bull-- and the only damage to the broadhead was some partial blade dulling and slight dents/waves on the cutting edge.
Good broadheads from a local man!

Rad Vandyke for me. Finest broad head I have ever used. Local guy/site sponsor and the heads fly amazing and are wicked sharp and kill very well.

Went with Valkyrie Bloodeagle 200's this year. Didn't get the opportunity to see how they work on an animal but love the way they fly and they came very highly recommended by someone whose opinion I respect greatly. Switched to them from Strickland Helix 150's because I wanted to go a bit heavier. The Helix flew very well and were extremely effective on deer. That single bevel sure does make a mess of a target though.
