Well done!!!  That's a keeper there for sure!!!!!  I gotta point out though that he's only a buck of a lifetime if you quit trying for a better one

You have one good friend there for letting you shoot first after making all that racket and wanting to stay in bed!

That thing is a beauty, congrats!  What were the measurements on him?

He is a excellent friend and fortunately for the both of us I was the only one holding a tag that day. He just wanted to be up in the mountains looking for deer. I have no idea how that would have worked out if we both had tags but as it turned out it was a great time for the both of us.

We hunt together quite a bit but only one of is hunting the other is just a ride along pack it out mule. The deer has a 27 inch frame and 36 inches tip to tip on the kickers.

Nice buck and write up. Sometimes you get lucky and are in the right place at the right time.

Beautiful animal! Congrats!  Nothing is worse than having a sneeze or cough that can't be held back after spending a bunch of time sneaking into position quietly.  However, after reading this, I am just going to let it out every time in hopes of calling one in.
