Marine Area 13 report
« on: January 02, 2018, 04:17:09 PM »
Took the kids out during winter break S Anderson Marine Area 13 and they had a blast catching flounders. It was a sunny day (well...almost sunny) lol and the bites kept them busy. We caught and release over 50 fish in 3 hours. All the fish we kept had clean super white fillets. Great for beer battered fish and chips! If you are looking for a fishery that is kid friendly, head to the Nisqually Delta. ;)

Just a little trout pole, Carolina rig, 2 oz weight, 3 feet leader with a 2 inch Berkeley white grub. 45-70 ft deep. Look for an areas protected from the wind, we fished NE Oro Bay close to the rocky beaches with structures. We went 3 hours prior to high tide and retrieved the boat when the water was high.

There are some huge flounders on the flats at the mouth of the nisqually.  Might be a bit murky right now, though.
you can still get gas in heaven, and a drink in kingdom come,
in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun
