Oh yeah...looking in the safe (s) was very cool. His everyday toys are in a different league.

That’s for sure!  I actually came across Travis by accident and didn’t even know about RBROS until I met him. I’ve been purposely avoiding looking at guns for years so that I’d  stop buying so many but after seeing what he had in the safe I had to give in and buy another.

Why did you decide on the 7mm and not the 28 Nosler?

For me its a tried and true caliber that will get done and Travis has built a bunch that are proven. Not that anything he builds isn't....I just didn't go that route. Brass is easy to come by and won't break the bank. I know it's not as sexy as maybe the 28 or 30 but the critters won't know the difference.

Right on. I went with the 30 because I already had a 300 wm along with most of the other 30 calibers it seamed like. I’m sure I’ll be far more impressed by the 30 over the 300 but only because of the rifle I’ll be shooting it out of.

Nice. Load work is all done for Skillet so tonight I'll clean off the bench and get ready to press some 7rm out. Two more days of work. I'm a bit distracted you might say.

  congrats man!  Enjoy the honeymoon phase of this relationship.  Won't be long and you'll be saving for a "side piece"  :chuckle:

@CarbonHunter
@rbros

Carbon....It shoots lights out. Very happy. Trigger is great....super crisp and light. Gun is exactly as I expected. Shooting Nosler brass, CCI 250 primers, Reloder 26 (powder charge discreetly withheld), and Berger 180 VLD Hunting rounds. Here is the proof target I was provided.

So I took the data, loaded 20 that matched the dummy round best I could, and headed to the range. I was a little nervous. Expected recoil to be stout but manageable and was stressing....would my rounds shoot like his....would I muff shots and get my head all messed up. Told myself to relax, dry fire a few, and get it set up to shoot.

Well crap....had it all typed out.

Shot A is first ever shot, cold bore.

Shot B is 2nd shot after making scope adj.

Rifle left to cool and fully clean the pipe.

Shots C&D are shots 3 and 4 for me. Cold clear bore then follow up shot. Same hole. Done deal.

Rifle is outstanding. Could not be more pleased.
