Design Project: Grab and Go Fishing storage device
« on: January 30, 2018, 05:44:25 PM »
Hey guys I'm doing some research for a design project.(Senior majoring in Product Design ) I am trying to gather data on what you(the end user) needs or wants. This storage device is mostly going to be used for quick trips after getting off work or spontaneous fishing trips.  I have attached a link to a survey below. It takes about 5 minutes to complete.
Thanks for the input guys!

PFD not on list?
Economy failure = Too many people spending money they don't have on things they don't need to impress people they don't like.

I started on your survey and I gotta say, it's a pretty lame list.
This is not meant as an attack on you or your class, but it doesn't work.
Question 1: What's more important, rod/reel VS hook? WTF ya need both.
I am sorry for the negativity, but I cannot prioritize these items as all are necessary, except "Spinners" which I don't use.
And if a fishing license is not No. 1 on the list, Are you unethical?

I would love to help you, but this format is not going to work.
If you are hoping to design some sort of device from this, Good Luck.

Feel free to call me at (425) 894-3330 for my input.
Rob.

Rookie -

Maybe you could clarify the use case or scenario you're seeking feedback on - or what design/industry/user/product problem you're looking to solve to frame things up better...?

I agree with NW Surveyor, you could structure these questions differently and likely collect all sorts of opinions.  Also, terms like "grab and go" fishing trip...? I work too much but I'm not familiar with that term.

Typical huntwa ethics police bull.

You are insinuating that the OP is unethical because he didn't put fishing license first on the list..... really?

I don't care if it's on the list at all.

Maybe its a go  bag for the couple days a year they don't require license?

The questions were intentionally left ambiguous because I did not wish to skew the data. As for the fishing license/list dilemma this survey was built upon previous information that came from other anglers.

Thank you to everyone who took part in the survey. I will post updates as I progress with this project.

I posted some of the results and product concept on this page.
