Been hit a few times by both.  Mainly out of layout blinds.  Had a duck give me a fat lip and bloody nose one time as I didn't have time to move after I shot it.
I also had a goose fall on my dog after I shot it.  Heard a quick yip as it crashed into him.

Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

A friend from Wyoming was hunting in ND in a blind with his dad.  Late morning, dad was asleep and my buddy was daydreaming when he saw a tundra swan flying directly toward them.  Swan permit in his pocket, he pulled up and shot, the swan crashed right into his sleeping dad.  Fortunately just knocked the wind out of him and bruising, but my buddy thought he'd killed his dad.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

I have had near misses in a layout blind but never took a solid hit.
My dentist claims to have had to reset a couple front teeth in a guy who took one directly in the kisser.
Spent most of my $$ on huntin, fishin & retrievin dogs, the rest I just pretty much wasted.

Fabio got hit in the face with a goose.  Probably doesn't do roller coasters anymore.

Never been hit by one but I did have one come down wing broke, hit a log and the wing bone sunk into the log a couple inches. Couldn't pole the bone out so had to snap it off. After seeing that I will never try to catch a bird falling from the sky. Imagine if it had been my hand....
