REI does have a great boot return policy, I have returned a couple different pairs through them, no questions asked.
I also saw the boots I just returned, in their Year end discount sale, with no explanation of why they were returned with a discounted price, LOL

Blackovis has a good selection, good prices, and a decent return policy.

Quality Hunting Boots
The quality of your hunting boots can mean the difference between a successful hunt and an unenjoyable experience. We carry boots from some of the best boot makers in the business including Crispi, Zamberlan, Kenetrek, Under Armour, Danner and more. With our 30-day return policy, feel free to send them back if you try them on and they don’t fit. Just make sure to keep the tags on and don’t wear them outside. Choose BlackOvis.com for quality lightweight hunting boots, gore-tex hunting boots and much more.

I went to *REI and got my feet measured and bought a cheaper pair of boots that I pretty much wear every day to work.  And then I went and ordered a pair of Crispi's from Blackovis.

Another place I was told to check out last year when I was looking for boots is https://www.bakershoe.com/

They have a guy named Kyle who apparently is a "WorldWide Legend when it comes to fitting boots."  They also appear to have decent prices and good return policy. Slightly better return policy IMO than Blackovis.

* note:  REI might not be a place worth patronizing anymore though, if you read about their anti-gun positions as of late.

I have been wearing the Salomon Quest 4D GTX's the last couple years.  They are super comfortable and require little to no break-in.  My first pair started leaking after 1 season so I sent them back to salomon and they gave me a brand new pair (Salomon has a 2 year warranty).

I sent back some black ovis crispis after a month. New pair is on the way. Cabela's had a 60 day return not to mention the lifetime of the product guarantee on their branded products, even the Cabela's meindls. I'd double check that with the Bass pro take over though. They have been making a lot of changes.

Usually you can get like 70% of your money back just selling an almost new pair on the forums.

Last year I did meindls and kennetreks. Now on the crispis then I'll try schnees.

It sounds like it's time to get a new gun.

I ended up buying Crispi Nevada Legend GTXs today. I really like the rocker. Given my earlier problems, these just might be the ticket. Not to mention they were super comfortable. By chance Alpine Archery here in La Grande carried a few. Slim pickings until their next shipment May 1, but had larger sizes luckily - took the 13s. I was impressed they come in 12.5. Without thick socks I woulda bought those. Always have a problem being in between a 12 & 13.

If you decide on Crispi, just trace your feet on paper and give those measurements to the crispi expert at Black Ovis. He got me the perfect size. They allow you to send them back if not worn down. Mine took almost 0 break in.
Swap out footbeds.
By the time my kenetreck were finaly broken in, I was 60 miles of use into then.
