FYI, your 2200' too high.

Drop down, like way down.

Good luck and have fun.

2200' high, haha. I'll drop down that far tomorrow, call med vac now though. No problem with no snow but this stuff is wet and heavy and slick and heavy.

I didnt say you wouldn't get there just guaranteed a big snow drift  :) Not many spring bears get killed up there because of all that white stuff.. Bet you have the place to your self..
I know, I was just excited to make it. My ass had just let go of the seat. It was fairly dangerous. I rolled off into the wolf fork a couple hundred feet back in 08' or 09' in my tundra. Not cool. Sorry if you guys had to wait for the wrecker back then.

Well got wet last night at 1:19am. Had to crawl in the backseat . Got set up early this morning at a good vantage point of some bare hillsides below this picture. About 20 degrees colder than yesterday. Rain packed the snow so I haven't needed the snowshoes yet.

Well there is the snow melt from yesterday to today. I snapped that pic on my way by this morning. Decided to head the opposite direction and walk down what we call windy ridge. It's where I could see openings from yesterday's hike. I gotta say one of the biggest issues I'm having is vision. It is so bright, can't hardly even see with glasses on. Much better being partly overcast today.

My rifle is a sako finnlight 300wsm. Claw sling which I rarely use. I lost most vision in my right eye due to an accident 15 years ago so I keep it unslung due to shooting left handed now. It's not natural to throw it up left handed so I feel having it slung on my shoulder could be the difference of getting the shot off. 5-20x50 huskemaw blue ring that I have a few different turrets for.

Note to self, hips felt great for around a mile this morning but are now broken again. Wear ankle weights for 6months before going snowshoeing again.

Have movement behind these trees. If it's a bear I'm going to try and close distance to around 400. About 800 out now.
