The 6.5 Creed is right in middle of the 7mm-08 Remington and the 243 Winchester. Same case, with a bullet 2 hundredths of an inch smaller in diameter than the 7mm-08, and 2 hundredths of an inch bigger in diameter than the 243 Winchester.
That'd be the 260 Rem, the practical choice since it can be formed from the 308 family. The Creed was built from the 30 TC, since that was a commercial hit...

Reviews are pretty universal, moderate recoil, usually accurate (that depends on the rifle as well), and good ballistics. Honestly it's a repackaged 6.5 x 55 Mauser with better off the shelf ammo availability.

Well my daughter passed hunters safety Saturday and her new rifle is ordered!! Were getting the Ruger American Predator in 6.5 Creedmoor, paired with the Vortex Crossfire 4-12x44. Cant wait to hit the Range and clank some steel with this thing!  :IBCOOL:

The Creedmoor can also be formed from the 308 family brass; same parent case but with the shoulder bumped back. Most of my 6.5 Creedmoor brass started as once fired LC 7.62 brass.

I think you'll be very happy with that rifle. I can't bring myself to own a Creedmoor, but I have had a couple of 6.5x47 Lapua's which are the ballistic twin. It's a great chambering which typically shoots very well, offers lots of great bullet options, a growing selection of loaded ammo and lots of information from people who won't stop telling you how great it is. :chuckle:

Congrats. You'll enjoy that combo. Mine (my kids) likes Federal and Barnes ammo.

Common, is that all you got. I think that meme has been used 100 times, there has got to be something new.

People get offended at nothing at all. So, speak your mind and be unapologetic.

The 6.5 Creedmoor walks all over the 7-08 across the board. Hundredths matter
