Member here saved my butt
« on: May 08, 2018, 12:13:58 PM »
So I got myself stuck in the mud pretty bad a couple days ago.  Ended up camping out on the mountain for a couple nights.  3 rigs that came to help got stuck before they could reach me, it was a pretty bad deal.  Ended up a guy I had never met went out of his way to haul his tractor all the way out here this morning and pulled me out.  Turned out to be a member on here.  Thank you again, and I do owe you one.

The 3 rigs couldn't even get to you in the mud?
Wow...sounds like an epic adventure.

Damn!!!
I was stuck last week but not that bad (high centered in snow). I just had to hike about 6 miles to get cell coverage. To find out AAA would not go on unimproved roads (should have read the fine print).
God Fearing Brothers towing out of Colville got me taken care of.

Looks like it.
I bet the 3 rigs that got stuck en route and couldn't get to him were a GM, Dodge, and Ford... :chuckle:

That's funny. There's at least 1 Ford stuck in this thread and it's not one of the trucks the OP was talking about.

Props to the person kind enough to go through all that to help their fellow man.  A rare breed.

There's a Corb Lund song about just this story it would seem.

Never venture into Dodge country, with a Toyota.  Ever.

All kidding aside, glad it all worked out.  Thanks goodness for good folks!

good thing you had supplies.
now it looks like it's time for a winch
check out the mobtown recovery bar.
http://mobtownoffroad.com/product/front-recovery-bar/
i run this, and have a plug in the front, and the rear so i can run my winch up front or back, boat battery switch to chose power to front or back.
it's saved my butt already in a situation eerily similar to yours.
