grow a set or stay home
« on: March 15, 2009, 04:34:54 AM »
why is it so damn hard to find somebody to fish with that likes to fish as much as i do. like before sunrise until after dark. everytime i fish with somebody they tell me oh ya i can hang for hours non stop. but then half way throu the day they are complaining that they are tired, hungry, sore, wet, cold. holy hell if you can't run with the big dog's keep your whining ass on the porch. :mor: :mor:  :pee: :liar:

Just a thought and not meant to piss you off but maybe they enjoy fishing but not to the extent you do and the only reason they go is because you bug them ( ask them ) to go enough they finally break down and go with you then you get pissed cause they're not into it.  :dunno: Just a thought maybe I'm way off, if I am then disregard.

Alot of people don't realize what it's like to sit on a boat for 8 hours fishing in the cold and rain, not sure what type of fishing we're talking here but I usually drive a separate rig for those same reasons that way I can stay or go and so can they.

sturgeon seeker, maybe you need two friends to take. One from dawn till noon, the other till dark?  :chuckle:

I still have never found anyone who likes to do everything I hunt and fish for...the way I like to do it...... If I found them, we would probably kill each other!  :dunno:

I'm in the same boat as you S-S (figuratively).  I have the same problem whether it is hunting or fishing buddies.  I get tired of taking friends out in the woods only to hear "man, I didn't realize how far in we were going".  And that is usually at the half way point.  I can understand some folks who can get antsy when sitting in a boat if freezing weather and the action is slow.  I always make it a point to drill it into their heads that this isn't going to be let's head back if we get bored trip.  I don't have the time to spend in the woods or water that I used to so when I go I hit it hard from before daylight until well after dark.

lmfao i know the feeling. none of my buddies can last from sun up to even 1 in the afternoon let alot all day. 90% of them are ready to go by lunch time, or they are passed out on the river bank.

or you get the guys who are down for the big trip, and they sleep the entire way there and the entire way back. that in my opinion is very rude.

It all depends on what I'm fishing for on how hard I'm going to hit it. If I'm meat fishing its all day, and hard fishing, if its for fun then I have fun.

I've grown up on a boat and HAD to fish from day light to dark. The fun stops real fast. Now when I fish the coast, I fish until we get enough fish to be happy with, and had a good time catching. If its all day that we want to stay out cool, if its a couple of hours cool.
