Kuiu zip off bottoms

Anybody using any of the various kuiu zip off bottoms. Wanting them mainly for backpack hunting but could use them around home blacktail huntingmiles behind gates as well.

Looking mainly at the lighter weight stuff, peloton 130 & 97 or merino 145. Can get the 130’s for $49.99 on the outlet & wonder if they are enough or the extra $40 for the others is worth it? It sounds like the peloton 97’s are the perfect blend of weight/warmth performance but is it worth 40-50 bucks more? Thanks for your opinions.😎👍🏻

I love the zip off bottoms.. Being able to take off a layer when it gets warm outside with your boots on is pretty handy and at your age when you can't hardly bend over and undo your own boots it would be epic...

Love the zip offs. Been wearing the 145’s for a couple years now. Picked up the 210’s for some later colder stuff.

Super fast to put on and take off. They’re cut shorter also, above the boot. So you don’t get the bunched up with your socks in your boot.

Ive had and used them since they came out but I find zipping on and off useless in synthetic or merino weights... I just pick the right weight and wear them all day and worry more about how my tops are layered and what boots Im wearing. In cold/wet/snowy weather when hiking then sitting zipping on and off puffy shell bottoms is key but those are way heavier weight then what is being discussed.

I hear ya but I’m talking about Wyoming high country where it might be 20s-30s when you leave camp & sunny & 60/70 mid day. Nice to have the quick change option without having your socks and everything else full of hitchhikers.

Sounds like September elk or mule deer season. Frost on the ground in the am and 60-80 by lunch but in my opinion its still about upper body laying systems and picking a single bottom layer.

If its a nice feature and you made your mind up already why ask the question?

I've got the Peloton 130's for early fall and those chilly mornings making coffee and sitting to glass and then the 210 Merino for late in the fall. One you start using them you wont go back to traditional leggings/long johns. Not having to unlace boots and gators and take off your pants is a life saver. You will get some strange looks the first time you drop trow and unzip them though.

Love the concept, don't like the fit.  Loose waist, tight calves.  Not much stretch.   If they fit you great.

I have both merino sets and the Kenai bottoms. Love the full system. Use here in Wa and also in IL

 I have also been looking at the peloton 130's and 200's in the outlet.  I currently wear under armour cold/heat gear bottoms depending on the weather.  I don't mind my heat gear, but am looking for an alternative for the cold.  Anyone have any positives or negatives to wearing the 200's?

I have the 210 zip offs they are very nice they Wick any moisture away from sweating quick and you'll be surprised just how comfortable they are to wear even in warm weather.

For me they are. I usually sleep in them too unless its really warm. I don't pull out the 210's until it gets below freezing.
