Looking for .243 ammo
« on: July 05, 2018, 09:46:05 AM »
My .243 loves Federal Premium ammo with the 85 grain Sierra Gameking BTHP. Unfortunately, I've burned through my stockpile, and can't find it anywhere? If anyone has a line on where to find some, I'd greatly appreciate it.

I've never had an interest in reloading, but the dime sized groups hanging on my shop wall might change my mind.

Just found that HSM sell .243 loaded with the Sierra Gameking BTHP. I ordered a box. so I'll see how it shoots.
Anyone ever heard of this company, or used their ammo?

HSM makes the 305 GN bear loads for my hand cannon .44 MAG.  I've heard nothing but good things about their ammo in general.  I've settled on ammo from Underwood Ammo for my .308 and .223, accurate as all get out (just another option for you to look at).

HSM is fantastic.
New or once-fired, the quality is excellent.

Yep HSM is good ammo. my 243 loves the Blue Box Federal cheap ammo made quite a few 350 to 450 yards shots on coyotes with it.
