This morning's fish.  From the shipwreck area (yes, North of the line) fishing with a couple hundred of my best friends.  Only saw 2 fish caught and this was one of them, but I had to leave early.  I'm sure the 2 fish per rod came later.

I was out there as well. we limited in about 45 minutes right at first light, then headed in...we passed a ton of boats headed out.

I plan on being in the derby as well.

There is a rod without 2 fish.

We will be in the derby too.  Debating whether to fish MA10 where we've been catching lots of fish, or going to 8-2 and looking for a bigger one.  Just haven't fished 8-2 in several years.  Also kinda depends on the weather for my little boat.  We did get a couple better fish Monday morning.

Any action. Pretty quiet here. Water pretty stained from rain.

We got a few in 10, but just ran to shipwreck looking for bigger fish. With this water color, kinda wished we stayed south!

Exactly.  82 was a bust, 9 nodda, one take down in ten. Pretty poor.

I see that 10.1lb fish won the derby.  I expected a better showing.  Looks like the weather change and the nets have taken their toll.

I didn't make it out today - maybe next week.

not what  I expected considering what they are catching out closer to the straits , we bailed on the zoo that was the shipwreck and fished the west side of the bar and scratched out our limits all be it small. son in law and I are headed farther out tomorrow looking for better fish.

We got our four fish in 10, but had to work. We spent just enough time in the dirty water at shipwreck for my kid to lose a pig, it went airborne and came down and snapped the 30 lb leader. Heartbreaking on derby day!  We went back to 10 after that. But he got one good enough for top 50 and took home a new fishing hat and some gear. Btw, the last two fish we hit at 11:30a were 30 and 35 feet down, think the heavy cloud cover kept the fish up higher today.

I think your right about the cloud cover. we picked up our last couple up at tide change at the same depth as you. we didn't make it down to the awards, do you know what the mystery weight fish was?

For mystery fish, 4.32 lbs got called but he wasn’t there, so it went to the guy with 4.30.
