Looking for camping ideas
« on: August 12, 2018, 03:52:07 AM »
After 3 months of trying to sell my boat with not much luck, it finally sold last night. Prior to it selling, my son and I planned on spending a few days down at Astoria next week salmon fishing while I'm on vacation but since I doubt I'll have my next boat before then, he and I are looking for camping ideas.

We plan on going 4-5 days, and will travel just about anywhere in the state. Were primarily looking for either a lake with good bank fishing or that offers boat and motor rentals. Other activities besides fishing would be a definite bonus. We'll either be tenting it or a not to expensive cabin would be cool too.

Any ideas?

We spent the wknd at mt hood and did a little hike over on trillium lake and they're where alot of nice tent sites along the lake pretty much all the way around  it.  We where there on Saturday so they're where of course alot of people but they're where fish being caught . We spent 5 bucks for a day pass but not sure what it would cost for 4 or 5 days.  There's also  alot of hiking trails around the area .
