:yeah: I watched two bulls getting after it some years back from about 30 yards, there is no way to accurately describe the sound and fury.

Two herd bulls really going at it is something to behold.   Even the area afterward.   Ive seen a fight ring that looked like the outside was burmed up with a cat.
I recall showing Idabooner one, and along side of it was a huge pumpkin pine.   In it was a tine shoved into the treeabout 6-7 inches and broke off.   Can you imgine the force necessary to shove a tine into a tree that far and then break it off?

Yeah I remember that story when you posted it.  Kind of surprised it doesn’t happen more often based on height of elk pedicles
