Grayback Qaulity Buck Tag
«
on:

My son n law drew a Grayback qaulity buck tag for this year! I'll be accompanying him for a few days to help him with his tag. This his is first draw tag and hope for the best. I know the area pretty well and would like to know from others that have drawn the tag what to expect or any input would be greatly appreciated! Would like to hear from others that were successful with this tag. Also would like to see any grayback late buck harvest photos. Thanks! He's pretty excited!

If the weather turns it can be a great hunt known a few tag holders last couple years and a few solid bench legs always fall during that hunt. Watch for cat sign if you get into a area with lots of cat sign shift directions they are moving the deer out.

As a kid if timing was right would see nice all day every day for at least 3-4 days. As they head for the winter grounds.. but that was in the 90’s..

Had the tag a few years ago. Fun hunt, lots of bucks. We didn’t get any giants, but all four of us tagged out on decent bucks.

Fun place to hunt! We use to get a lot down there during the general season but then it just went to crap. Their still there though. Just need the right weather and you should have great luck.

Hunt ravines. Tough to hunt them in the flats and oaks. They will be 3/4 of the way up the hill in the morning. Get set before light to glass and stay out all day till dark. I have seen plenty of nice bucks in there nothing that would set records. It should be a fun hunt if the weather pushes them in. Good luck.
