Palouse late tag

Does anyone here have a copy of the email WDFW sent out to tag holders? I can't remember which days they extended the hunt to.

So the season isn’t 11-19?

I was thinking the 9th as well. At least that's what I was hoping. That would give me 1 whole day to hunt it...ugh

It didn't start that way. I planned on spending the entire season there. But a Montana deer tag and a friend coming in from Alaska to hunt Montana has changed my available days. I'm actually trying to get a day or two on the way to and back from Montana.

I don't know the status of the deer numbers there currently but the last couple times I've been there with other tag holders the deer numbers were really low, supposedly from blue tongue but I don't know how true that is. Big difference in deer numbers around colfax though I know that, point is your montana hunt may be more fruitful anyhow so I wouldn't sweat it too much.

If you get done in mt early hit it up, but I wouldnt cut MT trip short to shoot some river rat :chuckle:  ran into this issue with my old man a few years back.  We got done in CO with a day to spare so looped around and hit the palouse with half a day to hunt.  Bucks were in full cruise mode and it only took about an hour to get one on the ground.
It is foolish and wrong to mourn these men.  Rather, we should thank god that such men lived.  -General George S. Patton

I think I may have finagled a day or three to hunt it as of now. I'm hoping to stop on my way to and hopefully a day or two on the way home. Time will tell, anyone seeing any rut stuff happening?
