AR15 trigger options?

Triggers make all the difference in the world.  I shoot well north of 5k rounds of centerfire a year. There is no argument that can be made that will convince me that a light, crisp trigger will not improve accuracy over a sloppy stiff trigger.  A good trigger can take an moa rifle and shrink it to half

Well no one is going to argue that light and crisp is equal to sloppy and stiff.

But there are decent stock triggers out there so for some people it won't make a difference if they spend $200.

Well I went ahead and bought dan-o's extra larue and I also ordered a cmc 2.5lb single stage.  Whichever she likes better I'll leave in her lower and then i'll toss the other in my prairie dog rifle to replace the polished mil spec one that's in it   thanks for all the suggestions everyone

I am sure you already know this,

Going from a stock trigger to a CMC or any 2.5 lb single, can cause unexpected premature discharges!
I have seen this many times at the range. Always seems to be within the first couple range trips, before they get use to the light break.

If you are a trigger snob you need to try a Timney Calvin Elite or an AR Gold...

I'm interested in hearing how well you like that 2.5lb CMC trigger.  I don't think CMC had a 2.5lb single stage when I bought my 3-3.5lb CMC triggers but I've been very happy with the ones I have and they always feel a little lighter than they are.  I may have to look into getting one of these 2.5lb triggers from them.

with how nice and smooth she is pulling this larue on our dry fire drilling in the living room I think regardless I am just gonna dump the cmc in my prairie dog rifle.  I sure hope it's as good as I think a $150 trigger should be

Did you get a chance to spend any time behind that CMC 2.5lb trigger and if so what are your thoughts and how does it compare to others you've tried/used???

The best way to put it is: Do you like a 7 pound stock AR pull or a 3.5 + - pound aftermarket trigger pull ? No matter what brand, because I'm sure all triggers are rebranded and sold under the big name companies names, but made by the same small mfgr. Mine are all single stage triggers and are smooth as butter............


I bought mine from Joeboboutfitters.com. They have some fantastic deals on triggers.
