take your lens cap off, it works better. ;)

Nope, no advice at all.  Get a heavy duty tripod maybe so that you're not all shaky when you are freezing your tail off.

Can you take stills from it or individual frames do you know.  Back in the OLD days, that was the biggest issue I had.  Too many cmaeras.  DId I want video of the deer, or a still.  Nowasays with digital etc, I don't think that is as much of a problem.

Thats cool Slider.  Anything with the name Canon attached to it is always good.  Expensive, but good!

You will love the GL2.  I have one and it has been a great camera.  I would recommend the Sony lens for hunting purposes (~$400); I bought the 1.7x which takes you to 34 optical power.  The model number is like VCL HG1758.  I've had it since 2002 so Sony may have changed the model number by now.  I have some clips on youtube at www.youtube.com/ramslamvideo.  The new deer ones are HD footage with a Sony HVR V1U but the rest are all GL2.

Have fun and enjoy,

ramslam
