What Montana Whitetail would you shoot?
« on: May 23, 2019, 09:24:32 AM »
All these bucks are alive and will be around next year unless they winter kill or something else. What one would you hunt? I saw two of the three last year.

Buck 1
 Wide buck

Buck 2
Heavy and tall

Buck 3
3x3x2

Option D - any of them.  The first one catches my eye for some reason, always liked wide deer.

I would have to see what a year of growth has done but would be ok with any. First one that gave me a good shot would get killed.

Looks like 2 might have an extra year on the other two. Hard to say because bucks always look bigger from behind
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

Tough decision - those are all nice Whiteys - and they probably taste better than the  Mulies over there

One thing I learned this year, they look way bigger from behind!

I'd take option 3 but all 3 are sweet bucks

If I was on a 10 day hunt none of those are an option until day 9.

#2 ... but that's easy to say from a keyboard. If on stand and any showed up ... I'm easily tempted.

I'm partial to #1. Just like that rack. At the same time I like the freak, totally unique.
