Is he big, or does he just look big?

Looks like a teenager (4 year old bear).....long legs with small belly.  Big frame but not filled in yet.  In a couple more years he will likely be a masher.  Still a nice bear in the 250 lbs range ....... Is my guess based on the pics.

I agree with jreb, also based on the ears still looking large on his melon......once the ears look small and spaced farther apart, then you got something.

Great coat. Ears look big and close together. Small head and belly. Reminds me of my buddy in high school that got really big a couple years later.

Not huge, big enough!  Beautiful hide.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

Saw one last night that would make this shake in his paws.🤣

Me and a couple friends were out glassing for bears, one of the others guys saw it and lost it, but I knew the general direction he was glassing.
Threw up my binos and saw him instantly he was so big at about 1 mile +, big male eating grass in a meadow.👍

I wouldn't call a 4 year old a teenager... 2 & 3 year olds yes. 4+ is mature imo. I agree he isn't fully filled in yet though and would put him at 300+.

Great looking bear! It may depend on his food source whether or not he gets much bigger... don't pass this one up!
