Such beautiful fish thanks for sharing.  What's the back story on that rod?
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

It’s a Echo 5 weight Small Water glass rod, got it as a present probably 4 years ago. I put a Amber Redington Rise on it to match. That combo has caught a bunch of fish.

You can't tie these yourself, for what they will cost you Online, (if before you fish them, you add a little extra Head Cement to keep them from unraveling).  ;)  To get them check out places like......
Hills Discount Flies
The Flystop
Percy’s Flies
Big Y Fly Company
Ascent Fly Fishing
They sell for around $0.74 Each
Buy 6 or more of this item for $0.70 each
Buy 12 or more of this item for $0.65 each

(and they look better than the the "Bugs" I have tied in the past). :chuckle:

Oh jeez...

I've already bought a 6.5 Creedmore this year.  I don't know if I can go that far down the rabbit hole as to start buying flies too...  I've been tying them since I was 14.  I don't know that I've bought a half dozen flies in my whole life  :chuckle:

You'll do fine. Chances are you have all the required materials already anyhow, except maybe the rubber legs. Be careful though, once you go rubber, you never go back....

I grew up in the Teeny Nymph era.
Simplest fly to tie.
Cost me a ton of pheasant feathers.

Nice guy but his daughter was mean.

I remember seeing Teeny at the Sportsman's show... started tying a lite brown number similar, mountain trout seem to love it!

Thanks for the post! Hope to get my kids to fish out of their packs someday! (Hope to do more myself too!) Some of my best memories! Thanks for the reminder!
