Old mercury outboards

I have a lead on a old late 50’s early 60’s 15hp Mercury outboard.  The guys states that is perfect and runs great.  He’s wanting $300 for it.  If it is what he says it is, is it worth it?  How hard is it to get parts for these older outboards?

I've given old outboards away on this forum, and I would guess the "ask a member" section would be a good place to start.
