The reviews seem pretty good.
Anyone ever use of these?

Never used a camp chef.
I do have a cylinder stove and a 3 dog and a 4 dog.
I like the dogs better than the cylinder. They are easier to stack with the gear because they are rectangle. And the legs snap in pockets rather than thread in.
I suspect that chef stove will work just fine.

Love mine, I suggest getting some door insulation from home depot, ace etc. Flat ribbon works well, just put it on with some. Stove sealant adhesive

i run a colorado cylinder stove.... basically the same thing, although i dont know about material thickness.... i think my stove is the spruce model. works great until it gets really really cold, like single digit and below. by design it eats wood like its going out of style, and doesnt hold coals nearly as long as it should, so, have been considering going to a box stove like a four dog or similar.
all depends on what kind of camping you do, and the size tent you are using
1-3 nights that should be fine if temps stay above the 20s
3-6 nights 20 and below, something bigger that holds more coals makes for a more comfortable trip
you can also maximize the heat output of your stove by adding a stack robber which helps out immensely, but in general smaller cylinder stoves eat wood and dont hold heat as long as a box stove

If camping in cold weather I'd go with a bigger stove like a 4 fog or kwik kamp. It's tough to keep a tent warm all night but if you can keep the stove going it is easy to get the heat flowing. If the fire goes out it really sucks.

I run one like that.. generally someone has to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night so it stays burning.. generally get 4-6 hours out of a good round of madrona or a energy log.. 12x20 wall tent.

I have one. Works really well in my opinion.I had to bend some things around to get a better seal. I think we would have 1 or 2 stokes a night with fresh piece of wood to keep it hot, for the morning.
Though I have seen some rust pop up, probably not the best quality metals used. Make sure to just oil it up before storage, clean it up well, remove any ash or other things that can get damp, then burn off all the oil before you take it back out.
Definitely worth the price. Will it last 10 years... Maybe.
I like the water box too you can get for the side.

Well my buddy showed up in camp with one.
Yes the quality around the door, and draft are a little lacking but fixable.
He’s going to add fire gasket around the door to fix that gap, plus we put wire around all four mount screws for the draft slide to help that in camp. But I think adding some washers would be the permanent fix for that.
The only other thing was it requires more stocking than larger stoves obviously.

I have a Colorado. Looks basically the same, comes with the water heater if you want it. That baby can eat, but it sure puts out the heat.
