lost shotgun
« on: September 29, 2019, 06:47:13 PM »
A friend of mine left his shotgun on the fence line at Scatter Creek NE release site Saturday. Its a 30 yr old Browning BPS 12g. If you happened to be the person who picked it up please message me. He has the serial number and can identify it.

Have your buddy report it stolen so if it ends up at a pawnshop he will get it back.

If someone finds it and commits a crime with it is the owner responsible? Make sure he reports it as lost or stolen.

Reporting it as lost won’t get it in the ATF registry, stolen should depending.
But for sure report it to the local authority and check with the nearest big city police. Some chance the finder will turn it in to the police.

Check with WDFW. I was out there last year and a game warden had just secured a shotgun he found up against  a fence. He said it was the fifth shotgun he has found at Scatter creek in his career.
There are only so many sunrises left.
