Thanks Lokidog!
« on: October 28, 2019, 06:28:16 PM »
I was fortunate enough to have Ed reach out and invite me out to fill my second deer tag last week. Shuttled me over in his boat, put me on deer right away, cooked two fantastic dinners (spot prawns first night, venison second night), shared great stories, showed me around the island, and I brought home a deer. Pretty hard to beat that hospitality. Great trip made possible by a great guy. Thanks again Ed.

Been there done that.🤮

There are at least 64 people on Lopez that would disagree .... I served it up at an event over there and even three guys from the SE said it was better than any raccoon they ate as kids.   :chuckle:

All those non-hunters came to it with an open mind, unlike some around here.  ;)   :chuckle:  :chuckle:

I tried it with an open mind, but my taste buds closed it real quick.🤣

Cool was that the eat the invasive event? I know BT are not invasive, but there are too many, so if you love the environment put your tofu away and eat a deer ;)
