Slow late archery
« on: November 24, 2019, 09:23:04 AM »
Well my season was slow. Seen a couple shooters but nothing I could connect with. Still time for the weather to roll in. The Chelan county Hurd is not doing very good either. Even with the warm and dry weather I used to see 50 does a day.
It also amazes me every year I meet some clown that archery hunts and is oblivious to the regs. I met a couple guys that thought that the entiat was open for all. I told them no!! It’s permit only. WTF
Come on people know what you are doing

I have to agree my son went for three days and saw 2 legal not large bucks and around 15 fifteen does and small bucks, not near what we were used to seeing even 5 years ago. Granted there is no snow this year to consolidate them but I really think the deer herd numbers are way down.

I haven't gotten out yet but I hope to hit it hard tomorrow and possibly Wednesday. The wind is really going to start blowing in the basin on Wednesday. Not sure how I feel about hunting when winds are supposed to gust out of the NE in the upper 40mph range.

Then I'll hit it hard next Monday, hunt every day i can through the 8th. Scouted a new area this year, but didnt get to do my normal scouting on my usual area so I really do not know how many deer there are in "my" area.

Good luck everyone!

Hopefully the wind cleared the air a bit.   This year has had horrible air quality

Here comes the snow. It's been a fun hunt up the entiat this year even if we didn't have the number of bucks up there as other years. Still running Into some nice deer high and low. More spread out then other years but thats to be expected with little to no snow fall during November. Have ran into alot of great people up there filling there tags or still trying. Will be heading back up there for the remainder of the season. If anyone gets a buck down or gets into a sticky situation and needs help just let me know. I'll be around. Good luck all.
