flyfish's 2019-2020 trapping season
« on: January 13, 2020, 05:35:38 PM »
I caught one possum, a bobcat that was to small to keep so I let it go and finally with the first good snow I caught my first weasel of the year.

Thanks for that photo of the weasel.  It answers a question some of us have been batting around.  Yes, some weasels DO remain brown all winter.  Where was that weasel caught?

Nice job and good work. I am still trying to catch my first weasel.... (seem to have rotten luck on that).

weasel was caught in clark county. we got a dumping of snow last night, nothing caught today and no tracks except deer and elk tracks. should get more action soon though if we don't get any more snow.

1-16-20 was a busy day.
At 3:29 pm, the cat on  the ground hears the young man coming.
At 3:35 pm, the one that had been on on the ground had left and the one on the tree also hears a person coming. At 3:36 pm, the person came and probably didn't know he was that close to the cats.

WOW!  that's  nice to see this.  Thanks for sharing.

I caught the same bobcat again I think and I let it go as it hadn't grown noticably bigger. about 1 mile away from where I caught it before. I think I will keep the next one that I catch no matter what size it is as I just want to keep one now. I can't even find bobcat tracks in the snow so I feel like this is a down year for cats in my area.
