Traplines and Inlines
« on: January 25, 2020, 07:11:41 AM »
Any one check out this young man's trapping youtube videos? Kind of reminds me of being in AK in the late 70's and early 80's getting started. Really like listening to him talk, the accent, the weaving in of the cuss words so naturally hey, I kind of hope he never changes. Nice coyotes.

Wow, I recall a more than couple of years back just looking at some "trapping, skinning" youtube videos, you know just to see if those guys knew what they were doing (?) (and to see if there was any new techniques I might plagiarize!)

I usually jump on youtube when I need to fix something. But, I have not be tracking it. Your list, holy crap, I don't think I could keep up. Freaking interesting, it just kind of just sucks you in. I guess if its raining hard, and I have everything else squared away. I might let is suck me in a little, you know for educational purposes!

It's better then any TV show when YouTube creators just show the raw real footage of what trapping is. And for me this year has been crap been out of town almost all season plus high waters have dampered things in my normal spots so it gets me my fix of trapping. Plus there is still a lot you can learn from other guys with more experience even of they get to use footholds snares and conibears a lot of the information will cross over to cage trapping and more then a few channels I talk with are now exploring cages back east colony traps are becoming pretty popular for rat trapping in irrigation canals where they can block off big runs and put up really good numbers super fast in densly populated areas
