It's always mid-April, and I don't see a problem with that. They need to have some information on animal populations after winter is over before establishing special permit numbers. I'm actually surprised they can get it done as early as they do. Plenty of things to criticize them for, but this isn't one of them, IMO.

This just seems to me like another reason to piss and moan about the WDFW. What’s the significance of not having the reg’s right now? We’ve all done this before. We have a pretty good idea of when the seasons are. In fact I think we know 3 years in advance when the seasons are. Maybe I’m missing something. Wouldn’t be the first time.
