547 emails were opposing.  532 of those were a copy paste form letter.  Only 8 emails sent supporting increased cougar hunting according to wdfw.  Interesting, the poll i made about this proposal in snother thread had 54 members claiming they sent emails in support.  So what gives there?

Im going to credit the commissioners for this improvement, not wdfw.

It would be nice if they didn't include problem cougars that were killed by WDFW to the quota. :bash:

They dont.  If they did, 117, 113, and 101 would all have been closed january 1st, but theyre still open.  105 would have also been closed january 1st but didnt close until mid january.  The bottom pic shows quota / hunter kills / total mortality (total mortality including depredation kills) as of december 30th.  You can see several units that remained open with total mortality exceeded the quota, but those units stayed open because hunter kills alone were below harvest guidelinem

Can Inslee still veto this like the last time or is it set in stone now?

I think its pretty much a done deal.  Inslee vetoed it last time well before it got this far, and his reasoning was no study behind it.  Weve had the predator prey study going a few years now since he pulled that crap.

First thing I already was waiting for Bango response, and yes he is correct agency removal does not count towards the quota.
There is a but coming if WDFW issue any kind of permits ,depredation permit, authorise permit hounds season,or allows the land owner to shoot and tag a emergency cat removal it will be counted towards quota .Bango and I had a long argument and he is right. So I went back and looked at the law a little better.

You don't have to have a tag/or tag a problem cat killed on your own property.  If you don't have a tag, they remove it, if you have a tag, you can opt to tag it and keep it and then it may or may not be counted against the quota.

I Agree you are right.
You do not need a tag to shoot a "problem cougar".
And again your right if you decide to put your tag on it.It may or may not count towards quota depending on the game warden.
