What made this hole?

Pretty round for a badger hole. Probably a giant sand owl.

Just a few weeks ago I saw a fox coming in and out of a hole similar to the one posted. It was in a railroad embankment near the Ice Harbor dam.

Brings back a fond memory. As kids we found a badger den and the plan was to drown him out and then the guy not pouring water would shoot him when he ran for cover.  We must of poured a couple hundred gallons of water down his hole...…..all it did was piss him off (you could hear him growling) but he never came out.

Only one way to find out. The catfish noodler folks do it all the time. Could be a gator or a snapper in one of those holes and they ain’t scared.
