It will not be a free for all. Actual start dates will come from WDFW, some will be May 5, others may be later.

Inslee and Susewind gave no limitations save shellfish and salt. Sounds fairly wide open.

But they're saying to stay local and camping still isn't allowed so it makes it kind of hard for people who want to hunt on the other side of the state.

It says camping on state land is not allowed.  Camp on private land.  I'm sure there are plenty of people in the hunting community, all over the state, that would let you park your butt if you need to.

That's what I'm waiting on, is spring bear open in the blues May 5th?????????????
Appears so.  WDFW not defining day trips.  Mentioned spring bear, hint, hint ;).  Can't be with out of household.

I did not hear anywhere that they said open the 5th.  Susewind said spring bear and turkey season is open.

They are still punishing those of us that live on the coast by keeping the ocean closed areas 1-5.. :bash: I am glad that they are opening up some opportunities but can't believe there isn't a way to tow my boat 15 minutes from home and go fishing offshore but I can "safely" tow my boat to the columbia or lake roosevelt and go there.. Happy for spring bear tag holders and turkey hunters tho..

Reliable source says spring bear will be extended to June 30th.  Turkey will not be extended.

They said they would "like" people to stick to day drips....but also said pack all your stuff needed for the outing and travel safe.  I believe national forest is open to camp but if not......find someone that will let you camp on their private land.  It sounds like they want people hunting....just do so wisely.
