Guided Mule Deer
« on: June 10, 2020, 11:52:33 AM »
I have been thinking for some time about going to Canada (Alberta or Saskatchewan) for a guided mule deer hunt. Ideally for something considered a trophy which for me personally could be 160 or more. Anybody ever go up there and do this? Some of the mounts in Hanks in Twisp are Canada bucks and they are mighty impressive.

Oh I am sure it would be steep but I am thinking long term. Save portions of bonuses that sort of thing and maybe in a few years I could do it.

I was just looking at those mounts the other day. I always spend way too much time staring at them and my wife has to drag me around the store!  :chuckle:

Does it have to be Canada? If I was going after a big mule deer and going guided I would be headed to Colorado or maybe Wyoming

Not necessarily. I had just heard so many things about Canada mule deer, and of course the bucks in Hank's grocery store. I will have to look at that as well. Thanks

Right? And whitetails too. I recall one in there that has like 13 inch eye guards. And there's the lion and bore near the registers which is pretty cool.
