Seems like it would be October 24-30. I actually didn't apply for Green River this year because of the October 17-23 season that was listed, because I had plans to take my daughter for mule deer in eastern Washington the first weekend of deer season, which of course opens October 17. So I applied for Mudflow which had a November season, and drew it. First time I hadn't applied for Green River in probably at least ten years. The dates for deer in Green River is October 17-23, so it sure seems like the elk season would be after that.
So who got drawn for deer and what season does your permit have on it?
No matter what the dates truly are, they have always had all the hunters in at the same week, I've never seen them split it up. The times I've been in there though, it's never been an issue, except the elk will get shot out of the fields by the first tag holder who is parked there, especially if it's a cow permit holder. So If someone is parked at one end and the elk are on the same end, get to the other side because when they shoot, the elk will run towards you. But thats for the second field not the first. The first field is a long run way looking field and the road is only on one end. At least was back then.
Update on the correct dates for the permits... Wdfw sent an email saying they will be sending a corrected permit with the right date on it by next Monday. So I'm guessing the dates in the regs are the true dates.
I remember the first field being just past the intake, right on a turn in the road?? But my memory sucks.

If so, that is/was Stampede. The signs are at the end of the road by the train tracks. Posted very well. I havent been in there for 10 years or more so I could be wrong.
