Maybe the large numbers of those of us that didn't draw will draw OIL tags in WA or the highly regarded deer and Elk tags.
Well that is all I have left to hope for - that and buying tags over the counter in Idaho.

good luck to all of those who drew.

No go for my brother & me for deer tags. There will still be a few deer tags distributed from the hunters that drew a combo elk/deer & really only wanted the elk tag & don't buy the deer tag so I still have a glimmer of hope. Good Luck to all the lucky ones.

The more I read this the more I am starting to suspect that MT has an alterior motive in all this.  I have never put in before, and I got drawn for Deer A Combo (what did I have statistically-a 20% chance?).  I see lots of people with 3 and 4 points that didn't get drawn.
I think Montana knows that hunting in their state is like cocaine for WA residents.  Once you do it, you are hooked.  They probably know they will be able to get application fees and bonus point fees from me for the next 5 years if they just get me "hooked" this first year...

Sneaky.

They dont get anything from the guys that dont draw except $20.00 if they put in for a point, and I seriously doubt they are doing it for $20.00. I have said this before and a lot of guys thumbed their noses but there are hundreds of apps that get circular filed because they are not filled out correctly, beleive what you want but this comes directly from MFW&P.

I thought the recession was gonna keep people from putting in this year. I was wrong & I was unsuccessful. Yeah maybe I'll get drawn in WA this year......but prolly not.
